Mrs. Blackman died Saturday night at the Shepherd of the Valley Health Care Center following a short illness.
She was born Jan. 8, 1889 at Toulon, Ill., where she was raised and educated.
On Sept. 2, 1912, she married Clarence C. Blackman at Moline, Ill. They moved to Casper in 1925. In 1939, they moved to Worland and then to Powell where they lived until 1974. That year they returned to Casper where she and her husband resided at Shepherd of the Valley Health Care Center. He died in 1979.
Mrs. Blackman was past matron of Rainbow Chapter #44, O.E.S. of Casper, Sahida Temple, Daughters of the Nile of Sheridan and the Union Presbyterian Church of Powell.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Helen Barker of Sante Fe, N.M., Mrs. Florence Johnson of Powell, and Mrs. Vivian McClellan of Billings, Mont.; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Tucker of Aurora, Colo., 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Edwin N. Blackman in 1967.
