Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Morse honoring the life of Beulah Labit Frees, 94, who died Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. at Tomball Nursing Home in Tomball, Tx.

Fr. Donald Pousson, Pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. Burial will be in Hanks Cemetery. The family requests visiting hours be observed Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to service time. A rosary will be recited Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her loving children, Earleen Ruonavaara and her husband Jerry of Spring, TX, John Earl Frees and his wife Francesca of Schertz, TX; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and former students.

Mrs. Frees was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-two years, Ellis "Doc" Frees.

Mrs. Frees was born June 5, 1910 in Vermilion Parish to John and Emilie Herpin Labit. She resided in the Morse area for ninety years before moving to Spring, TX to live with her daughter. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society.

She will be remembered and cherished as a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend and teacher with a strong and beautiful faith; "Elle e'tait une femme tres gentille."

She was a teacher for forty years having taught at Morse Elementary and Midland High School. She attended St. Michael's Elementary School, Academy of the Sacred Heart, Grand Coteau and SLI now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Morse or the charity of your choice.
