Thelma Garrett Canova age 93 passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, March 16, at Sparta City Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Mason officiating.
Mrs. Canova was born in Hancock County but made her home in Jacksonville Florida before returning to Hancock County two years ago. She worked and retired from the State of Florida Vocational Rehabilitation Department. She was preceded in death by her husband George P. Canova.
Survivors include her son Walter "Tom" Brownett (Dana), 5 grandchildren: Randy, Tommy, Ronnie, Joshua and Bobby and 4 great grandchildren.
