JEFFERSON - Alma Laverne Bohanan, 73, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013.
She was born in Knoxville, Tenn., the daughter of the late William and Ortha Walton Hodges. She graduated from Central High School in Knoxville, Tenn., and was a member of the Galilee Christian Church in Jefferson. Mrs. Bohanan was retired from Gwinnett County Public Schools, where she was a lunchroom worker and a paraprofessional in the Dacula Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lewis Bohanan.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-laws, Bentley and Pam Bohanan, Maysville; David and Connie Bohanan, Jefferson, and Greg Bohanan, Westminster, S.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Bob F. and Sharon Hodges, Knoxville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Joshua and Jared Bohanan, Jefferson.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 10, in the Galilee Christian Church with Minister Tom Plank officiating. The burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder.

Memorials may be made to the Galilee Christian Church Building Fund, 2191 Galilee Church Rd., Jefferson, GA 30549.

Evans Funeral Home Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.
