Funeral services for Roy N. Hixson, 78, of Meadowbrook Terrace, Bedford, were held Monday, October 17, from the Conner funeral chapel in Everett, and interment was made in Everett Cemetery.
Mr. Hixson died Friday, October 14 1977, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born July 15,1899, in Brush Creek Township, Fulton County, son of the late George and Isabelle (Beatty) Hixson. He was married to Marie I. Mellott on June 9,1924. Mrs. Hixson survives along with a son, Roy N. Hixson, II, of North Huntingdon; a brother, Grant Hixson of Tyrone, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Carey of Huntingdon. Two granddaughters also survive.
Mr. Hixson was employed as an electrical engineer for Westinghouse Electric in East Pittsburgh for 38 years and resided in Wilkinsburg until 1964, later moving to Meadowbrook Terrace, Bedford. He was a Presbyterian and belonged to various F & AM Lodges in Wilkinsburg, where he was a past worshipful master.
