The daughter of Alexander Craig and Mary Agnes (Hurley) Craig, she was bon on Oct.5, 1915 at home in rural Hiteman, Iowa. The youngest of fourteen children.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herschel, her sons, John and James, her parents, her ten brothers and sisters.

Monica is survived by her children, Sister Dorothy Chevalier, Steven Chevalier both of Des Moines, Father Martin Chevalier of KC, Mo. and Jane and (John) Sehman of Urbandale. Nine Grandchildren, six Great-grand children, and two GreatGreat-grand children. And many nieces and nephews and cousins.
