Anderson - Leslie Leo McCord, 66, Anderson, died at his residence after an extended illness.

Les retired from the Anderson City Street Department after 20 years of service.

He was affiliated with Meadowbrook Church of Christ. Les was an avid bird watcher and fed many animals. He played guitar and loved bluegrass, country and gospel music.

He is survived by his wife whom he married July 28, 1973, Peggy (Zachary) McCord. 6 daughters, Mary (Mike) Klock of Anderson, Loretta (Clifford) Martin of Brownsville, TN, Peggy (Charles) Williams of Anderson, Donna (Daniel) Hodson of Morgantown, Tammy (Billy) Gordon of Anderson, and Lena (Chris Campbell) McCord of Fayetteville, TN. 2 sons: Howard "Butch" (Tammy) Wagner of Pensacola, FL and Scotty Wagner of Anderson. Siblings: Howard Wagner Jr, Sue (Bill) Hall, Virgil "Ray" (Della) McCord, Frank (Kathy) McCord, Danny (Brenda) McCord, Hazel (Joe) Carpenter, Jerry (Peggy) McCord, Ernie (Phyllis) McCord, and Peggy (Mike) Learned; 25 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and two on the way; Mother-in-law: Mary Ellen (Slaven) Zachary

Special friends: Mary Lou Griffey and Katie Rinker and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa McCord; Parents, Virgil and Mary (Shrock) McCord; 2 sisters, Marilyn McCord and Anna Lycan; a brother, Fred McCord; a granddaughter, Misty Dawn Wagner, Father-in-Law, Walter S. Zachary; and 2 brothers-in-law, Gene Zachary and Gene Lycan.

Services will Be Saturday, August 12, 2006 @ 2:30 pm @ Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Dr Vance S Davis officiating.
