GLOUCESTER POINT — Virginia Lee Ball Glover Bray, 85, passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, in Mary Immaculate Hospital. She was a naive of Ordinary, Va., and the daughter of the late William Lee and Eliza Clements Ball.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, LeRoy Glover and Phillip Bray. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Yorktown and Abingdon Episcopal Church in White Marsh, the Garden Club of Gloucester, the Women's Club of Gloucester; the North River Circle of the King's Daughters, and was a docent for VIMS and The Mariners' Museum. She retired from the Charlotte, N.C., School System as an elementary school teacher. She is survived by her children, Pierre Glover Jr. of Charlottesville, Va., William Burned Glover of Rockledge, Fla., and Julia Glover of Gloucester Point, Va.; and three grandchildren, Christina, Amelia and Burned Jr. A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, in Abingdon Episcopal Church Cemetery by the Rev. Carlton Bakkum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friends of the Gloucester Library, P.O. Box 1392, Gloucester, VA 23061.
