He was the beloved husband of Nancy J. (Perry) Apostolas, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell, July 25, 1945, he was a son of the late James and Koula (Samaras) Apostolas. Peter received his early education in the Lowell school system, and graduated from Lowell High School with the Class of 1963.
Mr. Apostolas proudly served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Peter was a dedicated Dracut Police Officer, having served the community for over 25 years before retiring from public duty in 2000. During his career, he held positions with the SWAT team, as a Detective, and as a Court Prosecutor.
In 2000, Peter and Nancy relocated to Henderson where he had accepted the position of Security Manager with Mandalay Bay Resorts. Soon after, he was promoted to Manager of Corporate Security, a role he held until he retired in 2007.
Peter loved all sports, but his favorite team to follow was the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed listening to music and traveling. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Helen (Dolly) Wright, and brother-in-law of the late Anastasios Chachus, Daniel Perry, Robert Perry and Edwin Lawler.
Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
