Rose Marie Brown, 89, formerly of Massena, passed away Monday morning (February 18, 2013) at Elderwood Health Care at Birchwood, Liverpool, NY.

Rose Marie was born March 10, 1923 in St. Paul, NE, the daughter of Stanley and Belle (Roebuck) Olsufka. Rose Marie married Robert N. Hart Jr., May 19, 1944 in Oceanside, CA. She enjoyed a career in the brokerage business with George D.B. Bonbright & Sons, E.F. Hutton & Co. and Shearson Lehman Brothers. Mr. Hart predeceased her in 1975. Rose Marie retired in 1980 and moved to Massena, NY. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Massena and a member of the Calico Quilters. Rose Marie married Bernard P. Brown, April 26, 1980. Mr. Brown died in 2006.

She is survived by her son Ronald (Nancy) Hart of Camillus, NY; daughters, Charlene M. Hart of Baldwinsville, NY and JoJeanne Hart Parker of Cape Coral, FL and by her most beloved grandson, Adam Ryan Parker of Burlington, VT. Rose Marie is also survived by several of her nine brothers and sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held noon, Friday, February 22, 2013, at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Massena, NY with Rev. Donald J. Manfred presiding. Interment will be in the spring at Calvary Cemetery, Massena. There will be no public calling hours.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena, NY.
