Gloria Jean Alvord, of Davison, age 66, died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Funeral service will be held 1pm Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Greg Rowan officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Gloria was born in Flint on April 26, 1946, the daughter of Don Williams and Genevieve Hutchens. Gloria married Larry Alvord on October 11, 1990 in Mt. Morris. She attended Atherton High School and Lakeville High School.
After graduating, Gloria attended Mott Community College. Gloria loved animals and pets.
Surviving are husband, Larry; son, Allen Korth and fiancee Jennifer Hutchinson of Flint; stepchildren, Brad and wife Becky Alvord of Fenton and Kari Alvord and friend Rafi of Detroit; brothers, Don and wife Jan Williams of Owosso and Steve and wife Carol Williams of Vassar; mother-in-law, Wanda Alvord of Flint; brother-in-law, Keith and wife Diane Alvord of Portage; several aunts, nieces, nephews and friends; lifelong friend, Jeanette Long of Otisville; special canine friend, her baby, Murphy.
