Funeral Service for William H. Brown, Jr., 91 of Nashville, TN, were February 22, 2013 at DeRidder SDA Church in DeRidder, LA, Pastor Sorin Munteanu officiated. Burial was at the Veterans Cemetery, in Nashville, TN.


William H. Brown, Jr. was born on April 20, 1921, to William H. Brown, Sr. and Delcina Meachum in Kansas, MO. William served in the United States Army for three years as a Military Police. He married Sylvia Richardson on December 23, 1963. He then went on to earn his B.A. Degree from Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA. He also earned a Master's Degree from Andrews University, in Secondary Education. William was employed by the Seventh-day Adventist Church for 31 years where he served as teacher and principal in numerous schools across America and Bermuda. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia. Survivors include his two children, son and daughter-in-law of Fort Polk, LA; daughter of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren and a host of former students, teachers, friends, and church members. William will be greatly missed.
