Mrs. Mary Billie Collins Boatman, 85, of Grenada, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada. She was born February 20, 1936 in Greenwood to Calvin Lee and Mary Corrine Johnston Collins. She was a homemaker and enjoyed making ceramics and quilting. Mrs. Boatman took pleasure in traveling all over the United States. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, August 21, 2021 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Dr. Clarence Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery near Winona. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until service time Saturday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie Boatman(Lola) of Grenada; one sister, Eva Scheafer of Grenada; granddaughters, Raven Sanford and Amber Holley; grandsons, Shawn Boatman and Eric Boatman; great-grandsons, James, Trace and Rhett; great-great-granddaughters, Haley, Reagan and Mallory and a great-great-grandson, Ryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ennis Edward Boatman; son, Ennis Edward "Sonny" Boatman, Jr.; sisters, Nan Collins and Charlene Moore and brothers, Clinton Collins, Fred Collins and Hilliard Collins.
Pallbearers will be George Allen, Eric Boatman, James Boatman, Shawn Boatman, Tyler Holley and Dustin Sanford.
