MOUNTS II, Jesse Eugene "Buddha" 39, passed away Sunday February 10, 2013 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. Jesse was born in Springfield, Ohio on April 24, 1973, the son of Jesse and Kathleen (Lenox) Mounts. He attended Springfield South High School. He started his own spouting business, Mounts Enterprises, which he ran for 13 years. Jesse was fortunate enough to meet the love of his life, Amy (Shope) Mounts, when he was in Jr. High School. They were married for 22 years and have two sons who he adored, Coty Mounts and Jesse Mounts III. Jesse had a tough exterior that surrounded a big heart, giving spirit, and caring soul. Even as he fought back from a stroke and against cancer, he consoled his friends and family. A huge part of Jesse's life was softball. He played on many different teams and created an extended "softball" family which he loved dearly. Jesse continued giving even after his passing as an organ donor. Jesse is survived by his wife, sons, parents, paternal grandparents; Mary and Joe Myers, brother; Zachary (Brandy) Mounts, sister; Cecelia Howard, sister-in-laws; Emma Shope and Amy Powell, special aunt; JoAnn Duncan, niece and nephews; Kathleen Haley, Zachary Mounts II, Quinnton Howard, and Jacob Mounts, special friend; Rich Walden, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Bill and Sue Lenox, paternal grandfather; Quentin Mounts, mother and father-in-law; Mary and Bobby Shope, and uncle; Aaron Hoffer. Jesse's family would like to thank Springfield Regional oncology nurses, Hannah and Katie, and Hospice nurse, Judith, for their compassionate dedication to Jesse's dignity and care during his last days. We would also like to thank the "Team Jesse" fan base of family, friends, and community members who have offered donations, thoughts, and prayers. A Celebration of Jesse's Life will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Little Country Church, 5020 Old Columbus Rd. (corner of Old Columbus and Grant Rd.) in Springfield with the Reverend Charles Graham officiating.
