Evelyn Adams, 75, longtime Guymon resident died Thursday afternoon, December 11, 1997 at her home in Guymon. The daughter of Massie Adeline and James Rentfrow, she was born August 26, 1922, in Perkins, OK. She was united in marriage to Donald E. Adams on August 3, 1945 in Cambridge, MA. The Adams family made their home in Guymon in 1953, where they established Adam's Hardfacing. She was a member of Victory Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Adams passed away February 13, 1987.

Survivors include a daughter, Joellyn Rich of Los Angeles, CA; a son, Larry Don Adams of Springfield, MO; grand children, Shona Adams, Travis Reeder, Gary Adams, April Adams, Daisy Rich, Sally Adams, Ryan Rich, Keith Rich and Nikki Adam; a great grandson, Randy Adams; and a sister-in-law, Mary Belle and Halsey Wetmore of Guymon. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald E. Adams; a close friend, Dr. W. N. Oxley and a brother, Dr. James Rentfrow.

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, December 13th at 2 p.m. at the Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Chaffin, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery under the direction of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.
