She retired as secretary for the Director of Contracting at Fort Polk Army Base, Louisiana, where she was named Secretary of the Year in 1989. Dusty was an avid reader, a fine seamstress, and a world traveler. Born in Dayton, WA, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Ruby (Wilson) Sanford.
Surviving are a daughter, Toni D. Albert (Robert D.) of Mechanicsburg; a son, Mark Dean (Judy) of Kyle, TX; four grandchildren, Steven Dahlgren (Terri), Sandra Van Etten (James), Evan and Ellie Dean; and two great grandchildren, Avery and Sawyer Van Etten.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday at Emanuel Cemetery, Fairview Twp., with the Rev. Kenneth Kramer officiating.
