Mr. Odis Marshall, affectionately called "Pee Wee" to his family and friends, was born in Tom, Oklahoma to the late Lurene Hill and Fred Marshall. He lived in Dallas, Texas for nearly forty years. Loving the country life, Odis moved back Wilton, Arkansas, where he worked for Gifford Hill until his retirement.
Being on never idle, Odis later worked for the City of Wilton for several years until his health began to fail. He join Bethlehem Baptist Church and became a member of the Setting Sun Lodge #88, where he remained faithful until his death. When his health made it impossible to attend meetings, he always made sure to send his dues.
Odis favorite hobbies were fishing, mowing, and hunting. As a member of the community, he was always an active participant in the upkeep of the Cook's Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lurene Talley; father, Fred Marshall; a sister Cora Lee Marshall; a brother Joseph Hill and a son, Bruce Wayne Marshall.
Odis leaves to mourn his passing:
His Wife-Salina M. Marshall; three daughters-Jacqueline Willis, Carolyn(Charles)Sweets, and Karla Marshall; One Step-daughter-Tanesia Sanders, Two Step-sons-Nayland and Darron Sanders; His Mother in law-Mrs. Snoe Belle Grundy; One Special Niece-Minnie(Fugusta)Neal; One Special Nephew-James(Gracie)Stroops; Two loving and Special Friends=Fletcher Harris and Freddie Brown;, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Services were held Saturday February 19, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Bethleham Baptist Church in Wilton, AR. He is buried next to his mother, Mrs Lurene Talley and located on the other side of him is his sister, Ms. Cora Lee Richards!
