Sarah Katherine Burriss, age 81, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, Clinton. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with interment in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Warrensburg. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to Northeast Baptist Church, Clinton or Mt. Sarah was born December 5, 1931 in Warsaw to Everett Huey and Willamina Florence (Glines) Jones.
Sarah worked for Rival Manufacturing for 26 years retiring in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stanton Scott Burris, her parents, and three brothers.
Survivors include two sons, John Burriss of Marshall and James Burriss (Jennifer Tulli) of Kansas City; and one sister Margaret Thomas of Warsaw.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri.
