Diane Johnson Gentile (nee Tomeo), 78 of Hopewell Township died peacefully at The Cumberland Manor on Sunday morning February 3, 2013.

The wife of the late Giacomo Ilario "Larry" Gentile, who died in 2010, Diane was also predeceased by her first husband, Alan L. Johnson.

She was born in Philadelphia and was the daughter of the late Joseph Tomeo and the late Hester (nee Bishop) Tomeo Jensen. A longtime resident of Hopewell Township, she retired following 22 years of service at the former Farmers and Merchants National Bank in Bridgeton. She also worked at several area restaurants as a waitress and at one time was employed by Owens-Illinois.

Survivors include five children, Guy Johnson, Gary Johnson, Alan L. Johnson and his wife Gina, Linda Johnson Criswell and her husband Rodney and Giacomo "Jake" Gentile, two step-children, Peggy VanMeter and her husband Fred and Diane Gentile, one daughter-in-law, Denise Johnson, 14 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one brother, Earl Jenson. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert "RJ" Johnson and a brother, Joseph Tomeo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton on Friday morning February 8th at 11 o'clock where friends will be received from 10 until 11.

The interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp.
