John died Jan. 11 in Longvieew, Wash. he wa born i Portland to Norval and Lucille Blowers and was a life-long resident. Jn attended Joseph Lane Grade school and Benson Tech. In 1949, he won the Oregonin's "Young Writers Award". John initially drove buses for Rose City Transit. e was later employed in grocey warehousing with Hudson house, Wadams and Flemming Foods. John was a big fan of Johnny Cash ad Portland Beaver baseball. John is survived by his Ex-wife, Rachael; brother, David; sons, Laurence and Lloyd; grandsons, Curtis, Stephen nd brett; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Genesis and Kylie; nieces, Calina and Leslie; and daughter-in-law, Aileen. He was preceded in death by hs brother Norval Jr. Interment will be at Wilhelm Portland Memorial with n service per John's wshes. His outgoing, very honest personality will be missed.
