Mrs. Thelma Cain Bentley, 88, of Florence, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth. She was a native of Mississippi and a member of First Baptist Church of Florence.
Visitation will be from 2:30-3:30 p.m. today, July 22, 2008, at Greenview Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 4 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park, with James Warren officiating.
Mrs. Bentley was preceded in death by her husband, Clovis F. Bentley; son, Randy Bentley; daughter, Glenda Bentley Smith; and a grandson, Jonathan Bentley Smith.
She is survived by a son, Wayne Bentley and spouse, Susan W., of Tuscumbia; daughter, Jayne Bentley Mecke and spouse, Jeffrey D., of Red Bay; son-in-law, Grady L. Smith, of Florence; three grandchildren, Lindsay Smith Siddall, Mandy Bentley Bates and Andrew Wayne Bentley; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah and Harrison Bates and Bentley Siddall.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the American Cancer Society.
