Billy P. Arvin, age 79, Lexington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital with his family at his side. Born in West Irvine, KY, he was the son of the late Graydon Scott Arvin and Lillian Rice Arvin Noland. He was retired from IBM and was a member of St. Luke Methodist Church. Mr. Arvin was a charter member of Aldersgate Methodist Church and had served his church in many different positions. He was a volunteer in the Boy Scouts and received the Silver Beaver Award. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Handy Arvin; two sons; Chuck (Jean Ann) Arvin, Indianapolis, Indiana; and Alan (Monica) Arvin, Pacific Grove, California; a sister, Betty Hisle, Fort Wright; one niece, two nephews; and many cousins and friends.
