Kenneth B. Gannon, 91, of Coldwater, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Community Health Center of Branch County. He was born November 25, 1917 in Mongo, Indiana to Denzil and Erma D. (Lung) Gannon. He married Charlotte Friedly on August 30, 1947 in Angola, IN.
He grew up in the Steuben and LaGrange County areas, graduating from Flint High School in Flint, IN., he then attended Tri-State College of Engineering for one term. Mr. Gannon was the plant manager for GTE for 32 years.
He is survived by his wife: Charlotte Gannon, daughters; Kathryn (Charles) Jessup of Coldwater, Karolyn Gannon of Traverse City, sons; Kim Gannon of Coldwater, Kevin Gannon of Coldwater, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters; Wava Hassen and Velva Keeler.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 5, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Putnam Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Coldwater United Methodist Church with Rev. Cindy Skutar officiating.
Interment will follow at Jackson Prairie Cemetery in Orland, Indiana.
