Services for Harold John Peters , 88, of Ashtabula, will be noon Thursday, at the Ducro Funeral Services and Crematory in Ashtabula. Mr. Peters died April 16, 2006 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home. Born Feb 2, 1918 in Toronto, Ohio, he was the son of the late John Joseph and Helen Margaret (Rogers) Peters and had been an Ashtabula resident since 1953. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He loved to read and watch sports on television, especially football, baseball and college basketball. Mr. Peters had worked in the furniture warehouse for the Carlisle-Allen Co. prior to his retirement. Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Anna Margaret (Ross), whom he married July 19, 1940; daugther Joyce (Gene) Flood; Grandchildren, Scott (Tammie) and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents and brother Gerald Peters are deceased. Burial Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville.
