Of Roseville, died peacefully on January 22, 2013. Preceded in death by his first wife, Marion; parents, Charles and Mary; son, Jim Swanson; grandchildren, Stephen Selander and Shaun Swanson. Survived by loving wife, Elvyce; children, Cindy (Mike) Mullner, William Jr. (Pat), Chuck, Patricia Bubb, Nancy (Don) Selander, Gene (Marco) Swanson and Paul Swanson; many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Larry (Sandy) schwartzbauer. Bill worked at Control Data and the Great Northern Railroad. He was a Boy Scout leader with Troop #66 and a longtime parishioner of St. Bernard's. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday at THE CHURCH OF ST. BERNARD (187 W. Geranium Ave., St. Paul). Visitation 4-8 PM Thursday at ROSEVILLE MEMORIAL CHAPEL (2245 N. Hamline Ave., Roseville) 651-631-2727, and also one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials preferred to The Good Samaritan Society in Maplewood.
