Mr. Briggen was born Sept. 17, 1886, in Cape Girardeau. On Dec 24, 1907 he was married to the former Miss Doretta Crites, who died Sept. 10, 1919. He retired several years ago after being employed for 20 years at the Marquette Cement Mfg. Co.
Surviving are two sons,..., both of Cape Girardeau; a foster sister,...of Delta; four grand children and a great-grandchild.
The body is at the Lorberg Funeral Home, where members of St. Mary's parish will gather at 7:30 Wednesday night to recite the Rosary. The Rev. Wm. Donovan will officiate at funeral services at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Cathedral. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery."
