born in Cork and married to Sarah Jameson Belcher on 26 April 1823 by the Reverend R. Lloyd at Douglass Church in Cork. They had eight children. He was a solicitor and tradition says that he went security for a business partner who went bankrupt. He secured passage for his wife and children to America perhaps intending to follow after his buisness affairs were unentangled, but nothing has been learned of him after 1850 at this time.
