Funeral services for William Cicero Adams, 71, former Memphis resident, were held Saturday afternoon, March 24, at the Dunn Memorial Chapel in Tucumcari, N.M. with Joe Mitchell, minister of the Sixth Street Church of Christ, officiating.
Mr. Adams died Thursday morning at his home in Tucumcari following an extenended [sic] illness. He was born at Dodge City [sic] January 13, 1902.
He was reared in Hall County and moved to Quay County, N.M. in 1930 and operated his farm in the Porter Community. He moved from the Porter Community to his farm southeast of Tucumcari in 1940 and has made his home there until about four weeks ago when he moved into Tucumcari.
He was a member of the Sixth Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Adams of Tucumcari; one son, James C., also of Tucumcari; two daughters, Mrs. Emma Mae Coach of Albuquerque, N.M. and Mrs. Arlene McCleod of Austin; three brothers, Dudley Adams, Done [sic] Adams and Herbert Adams, all of Borger; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One brother and one sister, [sic] Bryan Adams of Memphis and Mrs. W.D. Sachse, preceded him in death.
Mrs. Bryan Adams and her son, Boone Adams of Floydada; attended the service.
