Henry C. Stoddard, 83, of 190 Orange St., died at Veterans Hospital Sunday after a long illness. Husband of the late Martha Stanton, he has 140 survivors. A native of Albany, Mr. Stoddard was a self employed carpenter. He was an Army veteran, having enlisted in 1887. Surviving are two sons, Ralph and Henry Stoddard, both of Albany; five daughters, Mrs. Mabel Boyser, Mrs. Martha McCullough, Mrs. George Knapp, and Mrs. Smith, all of Albany and Mrs. Raymond Pelton of Ticonderoga. and a sister, Mrs. Lettie Morris of Bridgewater, Conn. Also, 38 grandchildren, 72 great- grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9 a. m. Thursday at the Lasak Funeral Home, 130 Northern Blvd., and at 9:30 a. m. in Grace and Holy Innocents Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
