Dora M. Pratt, 95, of Reed City, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at Altercare of Big Rapids.

She was born March 11, 1917 in Ashton to Cody and Ida (Slyter) Kinney and attended Maple Hill school.

Dora married Alex Pratt on October 24, 1934, and they had celebrated 75 years of marriage before his passing on December 15, 2009.

She had worked at the Wolverine glove plant in Reed City for several years, and enjoyed embroidering, gardening and bird watching.

Dora was a lifetime resident of the Ashton and Reed City area and a member of the Reed City United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons; Earl (Donna) Pratt of Ashton and Roy Pratt of Fremont; two daughters; Joyce (Keith) Smith of Evart and Leone (Lyle) Brock of Ashton; one sister, Margaret Cardinal of Belding, 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, seven sisters, daughter-in-law Rosemarie Pratt, and grandson, Timothy.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013, at the Reed City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kathryn Cadarette officiating. Burial will be in Ashton Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. at McDowell Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
