MONROE COUNTY, MICHIGAN

*Enlisted as a Sergeant on June 20, 1861 at the age of 31 in Company A, 15th Infantry Regiment Michigan. Promoted to Full 2nd Lieutenant on Jan. 27, 1862. Promoted to Full Sergeant on Feb. 10, 1862. Promoted to Full Captain on Oct. 1, 1862. Resigned Company A, 15th Michigan Infantry Regiment Michigan on June 18, 1864 and honorably discharged. Lived in Defiance, Ohio after the war and worked as a wagonmaker. Received pension. He died at Toledo State Hospital, Lucas County, Ohio (GSMC - Lo Marie)
