Carl D. Burnworth, 65, Rt. 3, died unexpectedly at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday at his residence.
A machinist by occupation, Mr. Burnworth had been employed by the Memcor Division of E-Systems for 32 years. He was a member of the East State Street Church of God.
He was born April 8, 1911 in Huntington to George and Linnie Obermeyer Burnworth, and his marriage was on Dec. 24, 1943 to Edith Bowers, who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Larry Burnworth, Huntington; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Shobe, Robertsdale, Alabama and Mrs. Fred (Priscilla) Lanius, Greenbriar, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; a great granddaughter and four brothers, Harold Burnworth, Centerville, Lowell Burnworth, Huntington, Walter Burnworth, Hastings, Michigan, and Ralph Burnworth, Nappanee. Deceased is a brother, Maurice Burnworth.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Bailey Mortuary, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Lewis Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Markle Cemetery.
