Funeral services for Stanley "Cowboy" Jones III, 65, of Quitman, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2012, in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum chapel with Rev. Troy Dennard officiating.

Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Cowboy was born July 25, 1947 and passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012.

He was a U. S. Navy Vietnam veteran serving two tours as an advisor on a PBR boat. Cowboy lived the life he wanted to and was kind-hearted and generous to everyone.

Cowboy was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Juanita Jones.

Survivors include his sons, Stanley "Bo" Jones IV and Tyrell Jones; daughter, Paige Jones; granddaughter, Mia Hendricks; sisters, Margaret Smith and husband Walter, and Sharon Benton and husband John; brother, Duane Jones and wife Debbie; nephews, Todd Smith and Jessie Jones; niece, Jenny Hale; and he also leaves behind his side kick "Duke" his dog.

Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Retrieving Freedom (providing freedom for independent living for vets through assistance dogs), St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the charity of choice.
