Samuel Kirkland Lathrop (1804-1886) was the great grandfather of Samuel Kirkland Lothrop ( 1892-1965). His parents were William Sturgis Lathrop (1870-1905) and Alice Putnam Bacon(1869-1945) and his grandparents were Thornton Kirkland Lathrop (1830-1913) and Anna Maria Hooper (1836-1930).
