Services for Ballard H. Arnold, 84, of Troup were held Friday, June 3, at the Cottle Funeral Home Chapel in Troup, with the Reverend Mickey Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Pinecrest Cemetery in Troup.
Mr. Arnold died Wednesday, June 1, at his residence. He was born March 10, 1921, in Brownwood to the late Daniel Houston Arnold and Carolina Davidson Arnold. He moved to Troup from Austin in 1982.
He was a US Army Veteran of World War II.
Mr. Arnold was a retired welder and mechanic and a member of the First Baptist Church, Troup.
He married Hazel Moore June 14, 1944. She preceded him in death March 8, 1995.
Survivors include a daughter, a brother, four sisters, two granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kit Carson, Allan Polk, Joe Sharp, Kris Carson, Keith Johnson and Ken Carpenter.
