Jerone Wayne Campbell, 17, a Lemon Bay High School Junior, and #28 on the varsity Manta Rays football team, passed on to his heavenly home on Friday, December 7, 2012, while undergoing a tonsillectomy at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda, Florida.

Jerone was born March 16, 1995 to Upert Campbell and Janet Minott. He spent most of his life in Florida, having lived in New York from age 4 to age 11. He went to L.A. Ainger Middle School and played basketball and pop warner football. He continued to play football as he attended Lemon Bay High School. His coach and teammates loved him like family and he loved them too. He was and still is loved by many and has changed the lives of everyone he encountered for the better.

Jerone was proceeded in death by his father, Upert Cambell, who died of cancer in the spring of this year. He is survived by his mother Janet Minott, brother Randy Wilson, sister, Fiona Wilson, grandmother Ena Harrison, cousin Tameca Fullwood and nephews Jordon and Jayden Wilson and niece Myah Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow at Englewood United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Gulf Pines Memorial Park of Englewood.
