OBITUARY

HUGO, Okla. — James Henry Burts, 77, of Valliant died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, in New Boston, Texas.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, in Mt. Olive Funeral Home Chapel with Scott Dutton officiating. Burial will be in Wheelock Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 24, 1919 in Sharp, Texas to William C. and Gertrude Isbell Burts. He served in the Army for 22 years and received the Purple Heart during World War II. He married Betty Hobbs April 6,1974.

Surviving are his wife, Betty; a stepson, Larry Strawn of Chloride, Ariz.; five sisters who live throughout Oklahoma; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
