Carl was the son of Jacob and Mary Benz. He married Anna Jensen in Feb 23, 1909 in Livermore, IA. They were the parents of Gordon, Fredrick, Verna, and Arlon.
Jan 19, 1963 - Humbolddt Independent - Funeral services for Carl F. Benz, 76, retired Humboldt county farmer was at 2 p.m. today (Saturihy.) at the Lindhart funeral hume. The Rev. S.H. Hammer, pastor of the Gilmore City and Rutland Methodist churches, officiated and bruial was in Union cemetery.
Mr. Benz, who died Wednesday after being ill for some time, was born and reared in Humboldt county and was married to Anna Margaret Jensen at Livermore in 1909. They farmed until retiring and moving into Humboldt in 1943.
Mrs. Benz died about a year ago.
Surviving are three children: Gordon of Bradgate; Arlon of Humboldt; Mrs. Elliott Skow of Rrtland; 11 grandchildren, and three sisters: Mrs. Frieda Knutson, and Mrs. Alce Wiuff of Milroy, Minn., and Mrs. Lena Rude of Elmhurst, Illinois.
