Robert E. Powers, 74, of Avella, died at 10:15 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2004, in his home.
He was born September 25, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of Michael P. and Laura Butler Powers.
Mr. Powers was a resident of Avella for 73 years and a 25-year member of Avella Volunteer Fire Department.
He was employed as a carpenter for Weirton Steel Corp. for 36 1/2 years.
On May 11, 1952, he married Wanda J. Prevost, who survives.
Deceased are two brothers, Hobart and Joseph Powers; and two sisters, Sylvia Powers and a sister who died in infancy.
