Norman Rudie, owner of Canvas Awning for 50 years, died Saturday at Mt. Diablo Medical Center in Concord. He was 83.
The native of Bowman, N.D., lived in Bay Point for 42 years. He was a life member of Concord and Walnut Creek Sportsman's clubs and Sportsman's Association of California.
He is survived by his daughters, Karan Rudie of San Jose, Geraldine Boynton of San Ramon and Kathleen Kuhlman of Livermore; son, Michael Rudie of San Jose; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
