Charles David Barnett, 55, of Carrollton was pronounced dead on Friday Nov. 14, 2003 at his residence unexpectedly. Born in Carrollton on May 22, 1948 he was the son of the late James W. and Thelma Liles Barnett. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Wendy Barnett of Lake Wales, Fla., a sister Jane Reeves of Eldred, and 2 brothers: Rick Barnett of Jacksonville and Jim Barnett of Ft. Worth, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Cathy Barnett. Mr. Barnett was a 22 year veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring in 1990 as a Tech. Sgt. Specializing in meterology. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. He was cremated, as per his request, and memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 2 P.M. at the Eldred Memorial Gardens Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Eldred American Legion Post. Friends may greet the family from 1-2 P.M. at the Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Eldred American Legion. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton is in charge of arrangements
