ROPP, CLARA B. (BIRKY) - Clara B. Ropp, 83, of rural Gibson City died at 4:01 a.m. yesterday 3-23-1988 at Gibson Community Hospital. Her funeral will be Saturday at Gibson City Bible Church, the Rev. Thomas Condron officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery. She was born 3-23-1905 in Shelby County, a daughter of John W. and Mae Covert Birky. She married Lawrence Ropp on 12-14-1930 at Peoria and he survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Joanne Henderson, Mackinaw; two brothers, Gilbert, Milton Junction, Wis., and Richard, Adair, Okla.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. She lived in Gibson City most of her life and was a member of the Gibson City Bible Church.
