Anne Mudgett Turner Oct. 4, 1925 ~ June 15, 2010 Resident of Walnut Creek Anne was born in Redwood Country to Paul and Henrietta Mudgett. She was a devoted wife of Harold "Dusty" Turner; mother to L. Paul Turner and Gwen L. Turner; grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a staunch democrat and a woman of service. She was brought up in Fortuna, CA to be community minded, always sharing a generous heart. Anne raised her family mainly in Walnut Creek and served at the Mt. Diablo Therapy Center, planned and supported functions of the Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, WC Jaycettes and the PTA. She is most remembered as a kind, gentle person with a listening ear and non-judgmental nature. She loved her family deeply and children always put a smile on her face. She also knew how to enjoy life and did so by playing golf, bridge and dancing. She also loved swimming, playing games and reading with her grandchildren. Anne spent the last 9 years of her life in decline from Alzheimer's. We will all miss your physical presence dear one; however, we are grateful that your spirit is free. Funeral service and burial will be at Oakmont Memorial Park and Mortuary, 2099 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 10:00am. Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel (925) 934-5400
