NOTES:

As of 1 Dec 2012, the lineage of Rebecca's forebears, whose surname was also Scott, are unknown. It is surmised, that when Rebecca was born in Ontario, Canada, that her parents were residents there and were part of the rural farming community and Friends Community (Quakers). They probably were part of the immigrant Quakers from PENNA COLONY (Pennsylvania, USA), that moved to Ontario, Canada, for political and religious reasons after the Revolutionary War, when American Colonists ("Patriots") were harassing British "Loyalists" (United Empire Loyalists) and they were probably among those who refused to raise arms because of religious reasons in that War. It is surmised that Rebecca was a cousin of Jobe W. Scott. (dht)
