CRAFT, Ruby Via, 72, of Covington, died Friday, December 22, 2000, at the Brian Center Nursing Home Low Moor. She was born May 26, 1928 in Craig County, the daughter of the late Jefferson Davis and Lillian Switzer Via. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theo Mathew Craft; four brothers and two sisters. Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna Lynn Craft Walker of Covington, Carol and Donald Liptrap of Troutville, and Peggy and Henry "John" Tingler, Jr. of Roanoke; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Donna Craft of Covington and Curtis and Sheila Craft of Clifton Forge; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, Roanoke; three brothers, Warren G. Via, Sr. of Glen Burnie, Md., Don L. Via, and Harry Via, both of New Castle; two sisters, Katherine V. Fields of Augusta, Ga. and Mrs. Norman (Gwen) Bostic of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church, Covington. Interment will be made at Alleghany Memorial Park. The family will receive their friends Tuesday evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church, Covington.
