Janice Lavern Deramus passed away at her home surrounded by her family in the early morning hours.
Janice grew up and went to school in Kiefer, OK graduating in 1971.
On June 12, 1972 she married Dwaine Deramus in Miami, Okla. Janice gave birth to two sons, Jerome and Jason. She also raised two girls, Victoria and Allicia as her own daughters.
Janice lived most of her life in Kiefer, but over the last 17 years she has made her home in Beggs. She was employed as a medical clerk at Cancer Treatment Centers of America until her failing health forced her to give up her job.
Janice was a devoted mother, and was always there to support the kids in whatever function they were involved or whatever sport they were playing.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Leroy and Dorothy Vanarsdel; and her two brothers,
Cecil Lee Vanarsdel (1948-2008)
Harold Vanarsdel (1952-2011).
Surviving Janice are her husband, Dwaine Deramus; and her sons, Jerome Deramus and Jason Deramus; Janice is also survived by Victoria Deramus and Allicia Deramus and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Janice was a kind and loving person. She has touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
Service - 10 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
