Charles Lemmon Ardis, husband of Pearl Anderson Ardis, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at the Lake Marion Nursing Facility in Summerton.
Born in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Lee Washington Ardis and Susie Tobias Ardis.
Mr. Ardis was a member of Pinewood Baptist Church and was a Mason. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Shaw Air Force Base Civil Service.
Surviving are his wife of Pinewood; a son; a daughter; a sister; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Frank Ardis; two brothers, Willard Ardis and James C. Ardis; and three sisters, Stella Johnson, Frances Stevens, and Hattie Jane Brown.
Funeral services were held at Pinewood Baptist Church with the Rev. Bennie Barwick officiating.
