Aletia married Samuel Carson on February 11, 1875 in Carroll County, Ohio. An interesting note about the marriage was that Samuel's family removed to Porter County, Indiana about 1861-1863, and that he returned to Ohio to marry her more than a decade later. Aletia was less than ten years old when the Carson's left Ohio.
Samuel and Aletia settled in Winfield, Lake County, Indiana. The couple had two daughters: Eva and Jettie.
