George Armstrong, son of Joseph and Ann Armstrong, married Jane McLean on 29 Oct 1873 in Seaforth, Huron County, Ontario. Both were residing in Hullett Twp, near Goderich, at the time of their marriage. By the 1891, the Armstrong family were farming south of Cartwright. There were six sons and two daughters in the Armstrong family: twins James and Joseph, William, Harvey, David, George Milton, Gertie and Annie. The Armstrong family's story is told in the local history book "Memories Along the Badger Revisited" published in 1985.

Their daughter Annie married Thomas B Cox (see Find A Grave Memorial# 122237317). Their story is also told in the local history book.

Their daughter Gertrude (see Find a Grave Memorial# 83914692) married Thomas William Daniel on 21 Oct 1908 in the RM of Roblin.

Son Joseph (see Find A Grave Memorial# 84158723) married Martha Elizabeth Wallace and moved to Saskatchewan. Their story is also told in the local history book.
