William Earl Hussey, 89, Sycamore, died at 5:20 p.m., Feb. 23, 2003 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky.

He was born March 10, 1913 in Tiffin to Walter and Clara Maude (Montz) Hussey. He married Joyce (DeBolt) Everhart on Oct. 17, 1953, and she died Oct. 25, 2002.

Surviving are a son, Jerry Everhart, rural Sycamore; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Marian) Babcock, Sycamore; a brother, Robert M. Hussey, Carey; and three sisters, Clara L. Lydey and Mabel Hussey, both of Tiffin; and Phyllis Simonis, Bradenton, Fla. three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John Hussey, Harry Hussey and Walter Hussey; and two sisters, Mary Angel and Edith Neikirk.

Mr. Hussey was a truck driver at Harley Forth Excavating and a mechanic at Kappauf Chevrolet, both in Sycamore, and worked construction for S.E. Johnson.

He attended the former Duenquat Lutheran Church. He was a member of Mohawk Historical Society and Sycamore American Legion Post 250.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Airborne Engineers. He was awarded two Bronze Stars, and an oak leaf cluster.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Fairhaven Community, Sycamore American Legion ball field or a charity of the donor's choice.
